Sorry folks, but there really is no excuse for just chucking stuff around on the hill. If you could be bothered to take stuff up there, surely it can’t be that hard to take it back off the hill or dispose of it responsibly when you’re up there? The hill gives you the enjoyment you desire, why disrespect it?

Could not agree more. We are always saddened in the spring to see how much rubbish has been left behind. We had already carried out staff litter sweeps before the Big Spring Clean.

We are working towards being waste neutral . Nearly all our waste is now recycled with the excpetion of food waste - we have looked into the fesaibility of a food composter unit.

One of the problems we do have to accept is when it is very windy people just loose control of posessions - more often when they open car doors n the car park and for that reason our litter clearing extends down into the re-entrants below the ski area.

Our rangers also remove litter from the wider estate and I have posted a picture above that shows the rubbish collected from one of the most popular snow hole sites two years ago.

Totally agree with Phil and Bob. Bottles and wrappers are heavier to carry up when full, so bringing down the empties should be easy.

Lets not be lazy and help to keep “the hill” clean and free of rubbish for all to enjoy
