We were tempted to ski today for the first time in over 10 years. We had an excellent day and we will be back! The blog is excellent and it is good learn a bit about the operational side of the ski area.
My most memorable day skiing was Boxing Day 1992 when my friend and I drove up, by the time we got to the turn off for the car park, the weather was so awful, we decided we would just drive up to the car park, turn and go home. However, as we got to the car park, we were above the cloud, we had the most fantastic day skiing, blue skies the whole day, looking over the cloud, fantastic snow and hardly anybody there. I went up yesterday (11 Apr) with my 2 boys, this has now become my most memorable day - it was brilliant!
It looks great up there at the mo!
Last time i saw conditions like that on Cairngorm was so long back we were staing in the Aviemore Chalets Motel! Demolished when?
I recall standing on a frozen lock Morlich, with my friends getting a great photo of the Cairngorms completley blanketed in snow!

Wow! Can’t remember the last time I saw that much snow on Cairngorm….. along with blue sky!!

i am soo jealous looks better than france!!!! went in jan nothing like the atm h…. get the park open and then cairngorm is a… perfect resort!!
